Peer to peer sharing seems to be rising up the popularity charts as the days go by. However, as with all things that become popular, it is coming for a lot of criticism. And who are the people who are focusing on the negative aspects of P2P sharing? Well, according to P2P announcements, it is not the users that are complaining. Rather, it is the music companies who are trying to cash in on all the files that are being distributed over the Internet.
However, filesharing programs and their users are not likely to take this lying down. The many P2P announcements that are made everyday point to the fact that the filesharers are likely to emerge as winners in the long run. Perhaps the bigger music companies and moviemakers should start taking the various P2P announcements a little more seriously. There is nothing to be gained by trying to throttle the filesharing programs. But there could be potential in allying with them.
